This is Padley Gorge in the Peak District. One of those places that's a magnet for photographers, even on a bright sunny day it's easy to have a pleasing composition. In some ways I'm not that keen on locations like this. I think my images have a feeling of 'me too' (although that means something else now) and originality in my view can be hard to achieve. I've also got a passion for making my photographs locally. However this part of the world is near where my family comes from on my maternal grandfather's side so I'm going to claim it's local even if it's a honey pot. Anyway, this week because I've really enjoyed just taking a small camera with me and I've been rewarded with a number of images for the family album.
